Vintage Desk with Shelf Unit and Grooved Texture, 1990s

An exceptional vintage desk with an integrated shelving unit and ample storage space, likely from the 1990s. This piece of furniture combines functional workspace design with a striking, decorative aesthetic, and its rounded contours lend it a distinctly high-quality appearance.

The side and back surfaces are particularly characteristic, featuring a fine vertical grooved texture. The rounded edges of the body, base, and tabletop echo this design, giving the otherwise linear piece a soft, architectural look. The warm-toned wood or wood veneer displays a subtle, natural grain.

On the right side is an integrated drawer unit with several drawers of varying sizes. In addition to smaller drawers, there are two extra-deep drawers; one of these is equipped with a filing system. Curved metal handles provide a restrained, modern contrast to the wood.

The raised shelving unit offers additional storage space directly above the work surface. The transparent glass shelves in the two open compartments are particularly attractive, visually lightening the otherwise solid construction. Books, documents, or smaller collectibles and decorative items can be neatly stored here.

Thanks to the fully designed sides and the equally meticulously crafted back, the desk also has an attractive appearance when freestanding. The combination of workspace, shelving, and ample drawer storage makes it a versatile piece of furniture for the office, studio, or living area.

Condition:
Good used vintage condition with signs of age and use. The wood surfaces and edges show minor scratches, dents, and some wear. The grooved surfaces are generally attractive and even. The drawers, pull-outs, and shelf unit are complete and functional. Overall, a well-maintained, characterful piece of furniture ready for immediate use.
