The "Ant Chair", model 3100, was originally designed by Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen (1902 - 1971) for the canteen of the Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk. Since the design in 1952, the chair is still produced by the Danish furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen. Our 1960s set is made of a particularly beautiful molded teak plywood, with a three-legged base of nickel-plated metal. The chairs are stackable. They have been gently restored and are in perfect condition, with no rough veneer damage or other deterioration. Only one chair shows an approximately 1 cm hairline crack in the top layer of veneer, but this has no effect on stability or seating comfort. Manufacturer's name on the bottom. Seat height 43cm.
