About This Piece

Contemporary Design

Collaboration with a Portuguese postmodernist artist, João Figueiredo, who works in acrylic with a strong black palette for maximum impact. Using half-seen fragments of older paintings, he juggles modernity with tradition and infuses the whole with humour, playing with the whole concept of art and how we appreciate it. By ‘appropriating’ these traditional portraits of women of yore – and taking something away – he recreates the feel of Duchamp’s surrealism. The cushion collection includes Celia, Edith, Isabella and Grace cushions. Synthetic pads also available – please enquire. Designed by Young & Battaglia with artwork by João Figueiredo.

Delivery Details

Delivery will be completed by a parcel service such as UPS, DHL, or FedEx.
You will receive a tracking number to monitor the status of your shipment.

A wooden crate may be used for intercontinental shipments for maximum protection.
Item will be left in its packaging after delivery.
