Contemporary Design

Stripped away from all excess, the Face of Africa Sling hanging chair features a circular frame with a single sheet of leather hanging loose within it, creating a sleek and comfortable experience. The chairs clean lines and lightness makes it a perfect fit for any space. This functional art piece was designed in collaboration with Tsepo Makate, South African artist and illustrator.
The leather seat is hand dyed and the illustration is then carved by hand into the leather. Unique variances will thus be found in each piece. The pairing of the pure tubular steel or aluminum with the sensual warmth of natural hide is displaying a sleek look and an air of functional elegance. The form-fitting comfort is perfect both for indoor and covered outdoor spaces. The Sling chair can be disassembled and split in half for flat packing. The crate that this piece is shipped in is included in the price.
