Architekt & Designer Bruno Paul (1874-1968) war ein Wegbereiter der modernen Architektur in Deutschland. Von 1907-1908 arbeitete sein Student Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in seinem Architekturbüro. Er war Mitbegründer des Deutschen Werkbunds und arbeitete seit 1911 mit den Deutschen Werkstätten Hellerau zusammen. 1924 wurde er zum Direktor der heutigen Universität der Künste in Berlin berufen
