Vintage Design

This elegant, late-nineteenth-century sideboard hailing from Shanxi province is a unique statement piece for any dining room or living space. Still featuring its original finish and colorful paintings in contrasting reds, creams, and blues, this imposing cabinet was used for storage and decorative votive offerings. Each door features an inset panel with a central painting of classic mountainous landscapes, accompanied by an inscription set above.

This sideboard combines thick, chunky frames and panels of pine with faded, time-worn colours and patina. The detailed paintings, once bright with lacquer, create a sense of history and character. with three removable shelves and ample storage, it will be a powerful addition to any space.
