About This Piece

Vintage Design

Based on the OMEGA hanging light in 1961, Vico Magistretti designed system-based hanging lights such as the TRICLINIO, which groups 3 pairs of reflectors on a nickel-plated mounting in a triangle. The large TRICLINIO is one of the classics of Italian industrial design for lighting, shown among others in “IL DESIGN IN ITALIA” page 279. Our example is very well preserved and has a long, nickel-plated mounting rod. The lamp illuminates and has an impact even in large rooms with high ceilings; we recommend using dimmable LED bulbs to create a variety of lighting effects. The double glass reflectors diffuse the light very softly.

Slight traces of wear. Completely rewired, all glass and metal parts cleaned, now the large TRICLINIO shines again! We were able to purchase the lamp from a Berlin collector who had previously owned it.
