The lamps are a clear example of organic craftsmanship and 1960s design, made in a spectacular blend of perfectly proportioned rattan and wicker. The round lampshade is decorated with curved rattan and enriched with fantastic hand-woven wicker work. It is complemented on the inside by a parchment-like material that makes the lamps look spectacular when lit. The base of the lamp consists of three curved rattan legs enriched with wicker. Completely original and in spectacular condition, this stunning lamp is a must for all lovers of French Riviera style. It comes wired and tested, compatible with American and European standards, and uses a single E14 bulb. Born on May 25, 1892 in Paris, France, Sognot studied at the École Bernard-Pablissy before working as a designer at the Au Printemps department store in Paris in 1919. He then became a founding member of the Union of Decorative Artists. He died in 1970 in Paris, France.
