Mid-Century, ICO Parisi for Angelo de Baggis Couple Side Tables Model '360'. Italy 1954. See documentation images. ICO Parisi has originally designed the side table model '360' as a telephone stand. He presented the design as practical, a telephone could be placed on the upper glass plate and a phone book could be on the bottom shelf. The Dessin shows typical characteristics of Parisis designs. Pressing his fine taste and his big eye for strong lines and proportions, he put the table on two flat legs that end in a boomerang-shaped foot. Looking at the site, the design has a sculptural appearance that makes these small side tables for a true icon. The brass connections of the lower shelf and connecting strip add a constructive detail to the design.
