Vintage Model 1435 Armchair by Werner Max Moser

In the early 1930s, the Swiss architect and designer Werner Max Moser (1896 - 1970) designed the adjustable armchair armchair "Model 1435". Werner Max Moser was one of the co -founders of Wohnbarf AG in 1931. He later joined his colleague Max Ernst Haefeli and Rudolf Steiger and founded Haefeli Moser Steiger (HMS) with them. Haefeli Moser Steiger was one of the most important Swiss architecture firm of the 20th century. The Zurich University Hospital, the Zurich Congress House and the Werkbund settlement "Neubühl" in Zurich-Wollishofen are among the most famous works. Our armchair was produced by the Italian company Misuraemme/ Atelier, which acquired the rights to the production of the Moser armchair "Model 1435", Alvar Aaltos Bettsofas "Model 63", as well as Alfred Roths Barwagen "AR1" in the mid -2000s. The seating position can be adjusted to two stages. So you sit upright, or then cozy, slightly tilted backwards. Chrome -plated steel tube frame, seat shell made of black -painted flat steel, hardwood armrests, also painted black. Manufacturer designation available. The cushions were completely new. A upholstered studio from Zurich used a feather module for the seat cushion. A Kvadrat Hallingdal Wollstoff, color 0687, was used for the new remuneration. The Kvadrat fabric was originally designed in 1965 by the Danish designer Nanna Ditzel (1923 - 2005). The pleasant cover consists of 70% wool and with 100,000 martindale shows an unusually high degree of abrasive. Both covers are removable and can be washed. The steel tube frame was polished. At a really inconspicuous area, against the inside, under the armrest, there is an approximately 1 cm of slight damage to the chromium (last photo). The armrests also have slight signs of wear. All in all, the armchair is in a flawless, rather as new. Seat height approx. 35cm.
