Large Mid-Century chromed steel structure coffee table with internal brass frame. The top is in smoked glass. This iconic Mid-Century coffee table was designed in the style of Romeo Rega, one of the best Italian designers of the 70s, known for combining modernism and glamour in his furniture creations. Like most of the Rega production, this clean-lined modernist piece is characterized by a rectangular geometric shape and made charming and elegant by chrome, brass, and smoked glass, which adds to the allure that Rega is known for. A charming piece, perfect for the Hollywood Regency project and ideal for lovers of minimal 70s design. Born in 1904, Italian designer Romeo Rega is one of several 1970s designers associated with a combination of modernism and glamour in their furniture creations. Rega embodies this style, its brand is said to have been launched on December 31, 1969, producing lighting, chairs, tables, and display cabinets identified by its double "R" logo ceasing production in 1981. Although little is known about his personal or In professional life, Rega's legacy has not been lost, with the arrival of its models in vintage and collectible auctions. Rega furniture is characterized by geometric shapes and reduced forms. His designs are almost always gold, chrome, or brass, which adds the charm and elegance that Rega is known for to its clean-lined modernist pieces.
