Robert WOGENSKY (1919-2019) - In flight. Pressed painting in limited edition by Formica

Robert Wogensky was born at 158 bis, avenue de Suffren in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. His family has lived in France for several generations. Brother of the architect André Wogenscky3, he was a student at the Lycée Buffon from 1925 to 1937, while assiduously attending museums4. Robert Wogensky decided to become a painter when he saw Picasso's "Guernica" at the 1937 Exhibition. His artistic studies at the René Jaudon studio (where he was taught by Jean-Claude Guignebert, known as Vincent, with whom he became friends4) and then at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris were quickly interrupted by the war.

Painting pressed in limited edition by Formica for the inauguration of the giant press at the Formica factory in Quillan on December 1, 1970.
