Editors' Picks

Did you know that between our fantastic design experts who source new pieces for Pamono and our content team who work tirelessly to ensure the accuracy of each and every piece that gets uploaded to our site, there’s an average of between 500 and 800 new designs—vintage and contemporary furniture, interior accessories, and lighting—added to our site every day. Mind-boggling!

While it’s hard to play favorites when there are just so many great pieces to choose from, we’ve consulted in-house to bring you some of our team’s personal highlights from the new additions to our catalogue from the last month.

Whether you’re looking for up-to-the-minute contemporary pieces, lustworthy midcentury finds, or retro postwar styles, we’ve got you covered!

Special Edition PH 3/2 Table Lamp by Poul Henningsen

Big news! Louis Poulsen is producing a special edition of Poul Henningsen’s beloved, 1920s-era PH 3/2 Table Lamp, but only through December of this year. The 2018 edition of the iconic lamp features an amber-hued, mouth-blown glass shade in Henningsen's signature tiered design, along with a brushed brass stem and frosted brass switch. Act fast. After December, this edition will be closed.

Easy Chair and Ottoman by Børge Mogensen

Danish modernist master Børge Mogensen is beloved for his penchant for clean lines and cozy functionalism. This beautifully architectural easy chair and ottoman produced by Fredericia is exemplary of why Mogensen's vintage pieces remain so highly sought-after. Beyond timeless.

Oti Wire Chair by Niels Gammelgaard

Many designs from the 1980s have not exactly aged well. Neon crop-tops and parachute silk pants can all stay firmly in the past as far as we’re concerned. But the geometrically sculptural Oti Wire Chair by Niels Gammelgaard remains evergreen. One of the most iconic IKEA designs, this armchair can be styled numerous ways—draped in a fluffy sheepskin, appointed with decorative cushions, or simply au natural. It's always an A+ in our books.

Hyperqube Glass Floor Lamp by Felix Monza

Edgy and dramatic, the Hyperqube Floor Lamp by Leipzig-based designer Felix Monza is quite the show-stopper. Set within an otherwise darkened room, this handmade piece has the vibe of a 1960s-era minimalist light sculpture. But by the light of day, it's rather more uptown than downtown.

Leather Lounge Chair by Fabricius & Kastholm

You simply cannot go wrong with the classically handsome chair designs of Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm . We're particularly fond of this model thanks to the striking laces at the back of the refined and elegant cognac leather.

Modular Wall Unit by Olof Pira

Transform your space with this expansive, steel and teak Modular Wall Unit from midcentury Swedish designer Olof Pira. Perfect for imposing some structure whilst also providing ample opportunity to showcase collectibles, personal mementos, and soul-replenishing greenery. And by the way, we’ve compiled some tips on how to seamlessly incorporate foliage into any interior here. We're all about spreading design inspiration.

Model 66 Rosewood Sideboard by Ib Kofod-Larsen

The understated designs of under-the-radar Danish modernist Ib Kofod-Larsen hit all of the sweet notes that define the eternally en vogue Scandinavian modern style. And that goes double for the Model 66 Sideboard—super simple, super functional, and finished in gorgeous rosewood.

Model 42 Dining Chairs by Kai Kristiansen

The Model 42 rosewood dining chairs by Danish designer Kai Kristiansen manage to unite both elegance and dynamism through the innovative zig-zag construction of the back legs. Reupholstered in light Kvadrat Hallingdal wool fabric, they are all class and good taste without compromising on personality.

Yellow Fibreglass Lounge Chair by Luigi Colani

Add a generous splash of joie de vivre to your living space with these spectacularly collectible, canary yellow fibreglass lounge chairs from German industrial designer and enthusiastic proponent of the Space-Age style, Luigi Colani. Produced in 1968, the biomorphic forms and brilliant color give these chairs a definite postmodern vividness. But the glossy, unadorned aesthetic will be right at home in an otherwise minimalist interior as well.

Cracked Glass Rug by Marilyn Minter

Photographer, painter, and video artist Marilyn Minter is famous for exploring themes of human desire and pleasure—always verging on brain-scrambling visual overload. She's recently partnered with luxury rug brand Henzel Studio to reimagine one of her iconic photographs as a too-too-delicious carpet that's handmade in Nepal.

Vanitas Vases Set by Studio B Severin

Berlin-based Studio B Severin was recently invited by the Kunstgewerbemuseum to exhibit their work alongside the institution's venerable 18th and 19th-century decorative art collection. The Vanitas Vases were shown in that project and captured our imaginations. The story behind the vases' creation is worth checking out here, but even a mere glance at the deep, Aesthetic Movement-inspired color palette is enough to conclude that these objects of fascination are oh so desirable.
